Bahia - Its is the biggest State of Northeast Brazil, with an area of 567,000 Km2 . Its has the most extensive coast, stretching over 1,103 km and boasts the largest cave in the entire Southern Hemisphere.

Bom Jesus da Lapa - Situated on the banks of the São Francisco River, in the back country of Bahia, Bom Jesus da Lapa is a famous pilgrim center, that over 800,000 people visit every year, chiefly in July.

Salvador - The city was founded in 1549 by the first Governador General Tomé de Souza and make capital city of Brazil, which it was for 214 years, until 1763.

Cachoeira and Sao Felix - The surrounding regions of Salvador are known as the Recôncavo Baiano and were of strategic importance in colonial Brazil. The land along the Paraguaçu River was excellent for planting sugarcane.

Caravelas - The small town of Caravelas, in the Southern tip of Bahia, practically on the Espírito Santo State border, used to be a trading port. Its importance grew enormously when a railway was built in the second half of the 19th century linking it to inland Minas Gerais State.

Sergipe - Sergipe, that covers 22,050 sq km, is the smallest Northeastern State. The name derives from the native Tupi language and means ‘crab river’.

Aracaju - Aracaju became capital of the State in 1855 due to its strategic location, close to the sea, on the banks of Sergipe River, which made it and ideal outlet for sugarcane goods produced in the interior of the state.

Alagoas - Alagoas is the second smallest of the Northeastern States, and most of its beauty spots and points of interest can be found along a 230 km coastline of dazzling blue seas, fringed by countless coconut groves, and also plantations. 

Barra de São Miguel - All along the Barra de São Miguel there is a long stretch of sand. Along some of these, standard beach stalls are set up along the promenade.  

Caruaru - Caruaru is located in the heart of the arid landscape between the Zona da Mata and the Sertão, or backlands of the Northeast, 134 kilometers (83 mi.) from Recife on highway BR-232.

Maceio - An avenue runs along the urban beaches of Maceió, which are Jatiúca, Ponta Verde, Pajuçara and Sete Coqueiros, one leading onto the other.  

Maragogi - Maragogi districts borders with Pernambuco State. There are the pretty Barra Grande, São Bento, Maragogi and Proba beaches.

Penedo - Penedo has two main points of attractions: the architectural complex in the historical center, and the natural beauties along the majestic São Francisco River.

Pernambuco - Pernambuco is located in the central-east of the Northeast region.
